Founded on March 26, 2015, holder of corporate identification number 513 487 891, registered with the Lisbon Commercial Registry Office, with a share capital of €25,000.00, registered as an insurance intermediary on 22-05-2015 with the Portuguese Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (ASF), under the category of Insurance Agent, registration no. 415423806/3, authorized to carry out insurance mediation activities in the Life and Non-Life sectors, which can be verified at www.asf.com.pt, member of Aprose – National Association of Insurance Agents and Brokers, under no. 3104, verifiable at www.aprose.pt, hereby informs its clients, pursuant to and for the purposes of Article 31 of Decree-Law no. 7/2019 of January 16, that:
- It does not hold, directly or indirectly, any shareholding in the capital of any insurance company;
- No insurance company or parent company of any insurance company holds, directly or indirectly, any shareholding in the capital of the intermediary;
- It is authorized to receive premiums to be delivered to the insurance company;
- It is authorized to conclude insurance contracts in the name and on behalf of insurance companies;
- It does not have claims settlement authority in the name and on behalf of insurance companies;
- Its intervention does not end with the conclusion of the insurance contract;
- Its intervention includes assistance and support throughout the duration of the insurance contract;
- Its advice is based on the obligation to provide an impartial analysis, meaning the obligation to provide advice based on the analysis of a sufficient number of insurance contracts available on the market, allowing it to make a recommendation, according to professional criteria, regarding the insurance contract best suited to the client’s needs;
- The client has the right to request information regarding the remuneration the intermediary will receive for the mediation service and, upon request, such information will be provided;
- Without prejudice to the possibility of resorting to the courts or existing alternative dispute resolution entities (Insurance Information, Intermediation and Ombudsman Centre – CIMPAS), or others that may be created for this purpose, complaints from policyholders and other interested parties must be submitted to the ASF, directly or through the complaints book available at our establishments and/or through the electronic complaints book;
- The insurance companies with which the insurance intermediary works and that are relevant within the scope of the demands and needs presented are as follows: AGEAS; Allianz; ASISA; Caravela; Ergo Viagens; Fidelidade; Lusitania; Lusitania Vida; Mapfre; MGEN; MPS; Planicare; Real Vida; Saúde Prime; Generali Tranquilidade; UNA; Victoria; and Zurich.
Finally, it is hereby informed that Decree-Law no. 7/2019 of January 16 — which establishes the legal framework governing access to and the exercise of insurance or reinsurance mediation activities — defines an insurance agent, under paragraphs (a) and (b) of Article 9(1), as the category in which a natural or legal person carries out insurance distribution activities in the name and on behalf of one or more insurance companies or another insurance intermediary, under the terms of the contract(s) entered into with those entities.
